When it comes to estimating the cost of a car build compared to just a repair there are many variables. First what kind of a build or job . Do you want a full restoration or just a paint job, Does your car Overheat ?or do you want to add a after market A/C system? Has someone worked on it before? Is the car all original except a minor crash repair from the 80's . All of these questions change the condition of the car thus changing how much work is needed. We have done over 300 full builds , from customs to rotisserie restorations so we will have a idea of how much time can be spent on a build. We also have done many custom suspension / steering jobs. custom brakes? yes, A/C ?yes , Custom wiring or original ?Yes. so if you have a project you want done, just ask. We charge by the hour (no book charges ever !) . $55.00 Per hour for basic repairs (engine work, Brakes uspension etc.) $45 per hour for full restoration If you see a project that we did on our web site that is similar to yours, Call and ask. We can tell you how much we charged for that project. When it comes to a full restoration and the car is in pieces We can give you a rough estimate but unless the car is all together we just don't know how much work it will take because we don't know how well the car fits together, or what's missing. If you have a car all together but someone else has worked on it We will need to know how bad it is and, what did someone else did to it. If your project is a custom try and have a idea of exactly what you want and how much you are willing to spend. It will be easier to tailor the job to you desires financially and emotionally. It is always best to have a Survivor that's never been "restored" because you know what you have ! Most older restorations (75%) are sloppy at best and ,some are just rusty hunks of junk covered with two part plastic. With all this in mind, We need to see the car to give a firm estimate! its best stripped of all Paint and plastic to see the bare metal. But we know that is not always possible . We can give a worst case scenario" estimate" As for parts ,it depends on is it a full restoration. There are so many parts , fasteners, and other bits and pieces that we can't give a full estimate before knowing that we are doing the job. deposit made on the car and we have it. Here is where you are in luck! We have built enough cars that If you call and ask, I can give you a worst case estimate before you buy! And I will stick by it! We also offer a 3 year warranty on all work for craftsmanship! Parts are subject to manufacture warranty That means all problems will be taken care of by Little River Hotrods excluding : anything modified by the customer or another shop or a mechanical part failure. If a part fails we will repair or replace at a discounted labor charge of $25.00 per hour the part will be covered by the manufactures warranty . If the part is out of warranty The Charge for labor still is $25.00 but the parts is the customers responsibility. This does not include any breakage from abuse , I.E. Drag racing or any motor Vehicle accident.
Payment schedule
Every job is different . If a full restoration,
we require a deposit of 33%estimated labor not to total more than $7,500 with another payment of equal amount due when the deposit has been drawn down below $1000 the remaining Due upon delivery. For small jobs costing a total labor of $5,000 or less A 50% deposit with the remaining Due upon delivery. All parts will be paid By you for BEFORE purchase from any supplier. We do our best every day to find only the best parts at the best price. If you wish to supply parts we can accommodate you Just ask up front! |
